How to dry brush

For the Face:

Cleanse Your Face: Begin with a clean and dry face. You can dry brush before or after washing your face, depending on your preference.

Prepare the Brush: Ensure the facial dry brush is clean and dry. If it's a new brush, it's a good idea to wash it before the first use.

Gentle Strokes: Using the dry brush, make light and gentle strokes on your face. Start from the center of your face and move outwards. Always brush in an upward direction to promote circulation and avoid dragging your skin down.

Avoid Sensitive Areas: Be cautious around sensitive areas, such as the eyes and any active breakouts. Do not brush over any open wounds, cuts, or irritated skin.

Finish with Moisturizer: After dry brushing, apply your regular moisturizer or skincare products. Dry brushing can help your skin better absorb these products.

Frequency: 2-3 times a week is usually sufficient for dry brushing the face. Avoid over-exfoliating to prevent skin irritation.

For the Body:

Steps:

Dry Skin: Always dry brush on dry skin before your shower or bath. It's a good practice to do this in the morning to wake up your circulation.

Choose the Right Brush: Select a body dry brush with firm, natural bristles. The long handle helps you reach your back easily.

Brushing Technique: Start at your feet and use long, sweeping strokes. Always brush towards your heart to assist in lymphatic drainage. Pay extra attention to rough areas like elbows, knees, and ankles.

Avoid Sensitive Areas: Be careful around sensitive areas, including the chest and breasts. Do not brush over any open wounds, cuts, or irritated skin.

Shower or Bath: After dry brushing, take a shower or bath to wash away the loosened dead skin cells and follow up with your usual skincare routine.

Frequency: 2-3 times a week is typically adequate for dry brushing the body. Do not overdo it, as excessive dry brushing can be harsh on the skin.

By following these guidelines, you can effectively incorporate dry brushing into your skincare routine for both your face and body, promoting circulation and smoother, healthier skin.
